The original design found on the top of the box, as well as those on the sides are created by use of pyrography ("fire writing") and then colored with Prismacolor pencils.
This basswood box measures approx 6 × 4.5 × 2 inches. The interior is divided to create 2 compartments. It has been cushioned with cotton batting and fully lined with red and blue velvet.
A decorative swing arm latch has been added to the front.
Each Knotty Box is titled, numbered and comes with an hand burned, wooden tag that describes materials used.
